Terms of service
Last updated 18 October 2026. Sayo is run by Enrico Mattiazzi. Contact: [contact address not set: SAYO_SUPPORT_EMAIL].
These terms apply when you use Sayo: the website, the apps and the Sayo connector for AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT. By creating an account you agree to them.
What Sayo does
Sayo helps you study. It turns lectures, files, links and text into notes, flashcards and quizzes, writes courses on topics you choose, schedules spaced review, and works inside AI assistants you connect. Much of this is generated by AI models.
Your account
- You need to be at least 14, or have a parent's or guardian's permission where the local age of digital consent is higher.
- Keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for what happens in your account, including through assistants you connect.
Your content
- What you add to Sayo stays yours. You give Sayo permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you, as described in the privacy policy.
- Only add material you have the right to use. Many schools allow recording lectures for personal study and some don't: check your school's rules and ask your lecturer when in doubt.
- Sayo doesn't use your content to train AI models.
AI-generated material
Notes, cards, quizzes, lessons, grades and tutor answers are produced with AI and can contain mistakes. Check anything important against your course materials. Sayo is a study aid, not a substitute for your teachers or official sources.
Acceptable use
Use Sayo for your own learning. Keep away from anything illegal, from uploading material that infringes others' rights, from trying to break or overload the service, and from accessing other people's data or reselling access.
Plans and payment
- The free plan includes one course: one lesson of your own material, or the first 3 lessons of a course Sayo writes, with limited cards, quiz questions and voice.
- Sayo Pro costs $9.99 a month or $49.99 a year unless shown otherwise at checkout, and may start with a free trial.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. On the iPhone, Apple bills and manages them; on the web, Sayo's payment provider does. Cancel any time in your App Store subscriptions or in Sayo's Settings; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
- If you're a consumer in the EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a web purchase. By starting to use Pro straight away you ask Sayo to begin at once and accept that you lose that right once the service has been fully provided. App Store purchases follow Apple's refund rules.
- If prices change, you'll be told before your next renewal.
Availability and changes
Sayo is improved constantly, so features change. It aims to be available at all times but can't promise uninterrupted service. Some features depend on outside providers (for example voice) and may be unavailable for a while.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Sayo may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country. Beyond that, Sayo is provided as it is, and Sayo's liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim, except for harm caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
Law
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you're a consumer, you can also rely on the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live and bring a claim there.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, Sayo will announce it in the app before the change applies. Questions: [contact address not set: SAYO_SUPPORT_EMAIL].
